Progress on the HKS 4 Stroke
Posted by: Snake Doctor - 04-11-2006, 08:45 PM - Forum: Fuel and Engine - Replies (1)

I am still very interested in the HKS as a possible engine for your design. Please keep us advised on any progress in that area. While the turbine has obvious advantages it is also impractical in an ultralite configuration due to the restrictions of part 103 on fuel. Given that the turbine would require the same horizontal power drive as a HKS would require, fitting the engine for proper weight and balance would be the remaining issues. If this power option was available we would probably be talking by phone already.

Regards
Phil

  turbine conversion

Hello. Just wondering, if one were to buy the XE now with the 2-stroke piston engine, will there be a conversion kit, or even the ability to switch over to a turbine if that becomes an option?

I THINK THAT THE FIRST STEP TO START A BUSINESS IN MEXICO IS BRINGING ONE SO PEOPLE CAN GET TO KNOW IT. SOME DVD´S WOULD BE PERFECT ALSO. BUT, ONCE I HAVE IT HERE, WHO CAN HELP ME TO PUT IT TOGETHER, OR IF IT´S NOT TOO HARD AND I DO IT, WHO CAN HELP ME TO FLY IT FOR THE FIRST TIME?. AM I GOING TO HAVE TO GO TO FLORIDA TO GET LESSONS?

  2 stroke
Posted by: Bruce - 04-05-2006, 01:30 PM - Forum: Fuel and Engine - Replies (4)

First of all I'd like to say Hi to everyone at this board, since I'm new here, but have some questions. Does the 2-stroke engine on the Mosquito have to be re-jetted and/or have the same problems as on the Rotax 582 that was used on the Mini-500? I really like what I've seen on this helicopter and am very interested, just concerned about engine problems that seemed to plague the -500. Thanks for your reply.

  BALLISTIC PARACHUTE?
Posted by: ROBERTO - 04-04-2006, 06:26 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (15)

Ultralight and hang glider pilots have long used emergency parachutes which are attached to the aircraft instead of the pilot. Does the MOSQUITO is or could be equipied with an emergency parachute such as the one mentioned above?

Roberto

P.D. I´m the guy from MEXICO, I know you´re very busy but please take a minute to reply my previous message so we can talk about bringing the MOSQUITO to Mexico.
