  Commuter Vehicle
Posted by: PinderNET - 09-20-2006, 03:53 AM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

I was considering the Mosquito XE as a commuter vehicle. I understand the high wind issue, but the rain. Is it visibility that is the concern or something else?

I have always had a facinations with flying helicopters, however the expense was to much. Now, finally a ship with low maintanence and flying cost as I can see so far. Because this is an ultralite, no pilots license is necesary ... but probably not so wise. I have priced private helo pilots licenses at $9200 to 9800 in the Houston Texas area. Is this a good price? I read somewhere Mr. Uptigrove just recently recieved his pilots license ... watching him fly in the videos, he seems like a natural ... how long would it take to get to that level of flying? Look forward to hearing from you guys ...

  Weather conditions

Hello everybody, thats my first post. This helicopter is really amazing !!!

Which are the worst weather conditions that the Mosquito can fly ?

I dont know if this helicopter can fly with light rain. If so, there is some protection for the blades, I mean a plastic cover or something like that ?

P.D. Sorry for my english

Price slashed on the "Mosquito Giveaway"
Posted by: Operation - 09-10-2006, 06:28 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

Great News,

The cost to enter has been slashed in half for the "Mosquito Giveaway".

You can now enter into the draw for AU$50 - that equals approx US$37.00

If you already owned a "Tile", or a block of "Tiles", you are in luck because we have given you a 1 for 1 deal (so if you owned 1, you will now have 2, the second has been placed randomly by the system). That doubles your chance of winning straight away.

We hope somebody will be in the pilot's seat sooner rather than later.

Good luck with your Tiles.

great to read about all the training
Posted by: dsandrus21 - 09-07-2006, 09:52 PM - Forum: Flight training - No Replies

Hey guys,
Lots of fun to read about all the training. Just finished up my instr. and CFII here in St George Utah. Did all my training in 22s and 44s. i agree that the 22 is a touchy ship, but here in Utah only one school has Schw. There was a huge price diff. also. I've been lucky enough to fly a MD500 and a few hours in a Huey and after flying 22s, both were incredibly easy to fly. Just a hell of a lot bigger and heavier, which leads to a lot more stable. Good luck with training, I'll be watching the posts.
