At this stage its looking like over here in NZ they are going to allow the TABS GPS unit from MGL with TSO-C199 standard, the MGL SP-12, which is quite well priced and has been confirmed to work with the Trig transponders.

Based on the info that was supplied this is the best option I have found to date that will allow the use of the Trig TT-21. I will continue to look for other options and hope you all will do the same. Thanks!

I read on the VAF forum that Trig will upgrade your TT21 to a TT22 for $950. Add to that their TN72 and TA50 GPS antenna and you'd be close to the cost of the TailBeacon.

The reason I mentioned it for you guys to investigate in the US is because the TABS GPS comes in a lot cheaper, probably about $500 in USD or just over $700 over here in NZ (thats with the Antenna included, that the Trig TN unit needs to have purchased separately).
