I'm curious how well these instruments read in bright sunlight?

I have some B/W MGL instruments and can be hard to read in some lighting conditions where the sun is shining on them directly.

Can anyone comment on that as I'm thinking that the Analog Engine/Rotor Rpm guage might be a better choice for that reason.

I'm also wondering if polarizied glasses can be worn if you want to be able to read certain digital instruments as I noticed it makes some instruments hard to read.

I have the same problem when fueling up my vehicle at the gas pumps.  I gotta tilt my head to one side or the other to see the digital screens.
