Trade Your Mosquito for Rotorway?
#1
I have a RW here with 14 hours on the air frame and components.
No damage history, all RW\parts, never rolled over.
lots and LOTS of upgrades.
A new 35 MM secondary.
But you would have to know the RW lingo and linage to notice them.
The engine developed problems and is at the shop for surgery.
Irt will take another couple thousand to fix it.
I will and am gladly going to pay the repairs.
It developed water leak between the wet liners and water jackets.
I have e a new improved cam for it.
New pistons , rings and ETC

I have decided I do  not need a two seater and a single seat would fit
My needs just fine.

I think you are advertising in the wrong place.

Its like going to an fish market and asking if anyone wants a wrench in trade for fish.
The people who are in the fish market are affectionados of fish and would not be there if they were interested in wrenches.
Chances are slim you'd get a taker at the fish market. Much better odds of trading your wrench for fish at the wrench store.

I think you will find people who are interested in Rotorways, and might have a Mosquito to trade, at the Rotorway site.

Does that make sense?
Anyway Barnstormers will get you the most feedback from folks that are looking for something and they do have the "For Sale or Trade" heading you can use.

after building and owning a single place "fish", not much interest in owning an already constructed two place "wrench" with problems still to address. i like the analogy you used!

only speaking for myself, but with the mosquito, i really don't have interest in other kits. i am looking to build an AIR in the coming spring, and never though of any other build. the way CFX operates, the build process and the way the helicopter flies, is enough to keep interest in the mosquito only, even as just a fan boy! it's that good!

on the other hand, i guess the OP won't have a chance at trading for a mosquito until he at least tries to get some interest going.

I'm glad that makes sense to someone other than me.  After I posted it I was thinking that nobody would understand my point.

I analyze data, trends and statistics as part of my work so figuring out the odds for things to happen, or not, is just a built in process in my head now.  Comes in handy for on the fly risk analysis when doing somewhat dangerous stuff like being a test pilot in home built experimental aircraft Wink .

Written illustrations are always the best way to transcribe an idea from one set of dendrites to another.
Also-notice that no stone should not be left unturned when searching for the answer.
I will promptly escort myself over thy ROG form and give it a kick there also
